A good plant for Orlando, our horticulturist friend recommends this fountain grass as a good border at the edge of the water garden. Charming—and a lovely spot for such a graceful plant. It looks very lush when it’s watered properly and gets plenty of sun, and certainly hardy, so we don’t have to worry about the cold weather for this little fluff ball.
Has such a nice texture, it would be lovely planted around the base of a palm tree, don’t you think? If it gets a haircut, it comes back even lovelier. Just be sure to watch where it grows; keep an eye out for little volunteers. It really would be nice in a rock garden—massed in plumes here and there. They keep their flowers most of the year and their dense growth pattern is really quite healthy, adding so much to a spot that needs a heavy hit of texture. Try one or two and see how you like them.
